We’re restarting the new year with a new interview to another remarkable small business owner we are proud to feature: Mandi Saigal, owner of Bandit Bee, London-based, fitness clothing company for women.

I love their mission,

to create clothing for all women of all ages, shapes AND sizes – because that’s what makes each and every one of us special.

The goal behind Bandit Bee is

make our clothing fun, sexy, trustworthy, affordable and full-on confidence giving to anyone who wears it.

In these lockdown times, we are buying products online more than ever before in history. Bandit Bee chose to only sell via e-commerce initially to cut the extra costs.

Now, as a consequence, they have an affordable, high quality, range, sold with the online retail tool that is most in demand at the moment!

In this interview, Mandi shares with us how she decided to found her business and what she likes most in her brand.

How did you get started in your business?

I have always had a passion for sports & fitness from a young age and it was a natural fit for me to pursue a business in a field that I was familiar with.

I identified a gap in the market for a brand that has a focus on women’s sports clothing that appeals to all ages and sizes of course!

What do you enjoy most about what you do?

I love the reward of seeing people endorsing and wearing the clothes that we have manufactured with care and attention. I also love creating new designs!

What do you see as most unique or special about your company or business?

Our logo is really special – it seems to appeal to different age groups in different sectors which was our ultimate goal!

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in your business?

Patience and determination are two of the key factors involved in starting out.

What’s the strangest or funniest thing you’ve seen happen in your business?

Watching a video of one of our ambassador’s children running around in a t-shirt that they stole from their parents – it was actually really quite funny.

What significant changes have you seen in your profession in, say, the past ten years?

Online retail sales have moved so significantly from the physical stores which have of course had a profound impact.

What do you see as the coming trends in your business?

Further demand for a more extensive and diverse range, exploring colour options and future designs.

Bandit Bee will be featured in the February edition of OmYoga magazine and hopefully attend the shows later in the year. We’re so looking forward to in-person events to restart!

In the meantime… you can
